Celebrate the “Great Backyard Bird Count” at our Huntington Beach Libraries!
Children of all ages can take part in a Bird Scavenger Hunt throughout the main floor of the Central Library and at all four branch locations, up until February 28. When they “solve the puzzle” from the clues they discover, they will win a prize! As part of the library’s Great Backyard Bird Count program series, taking place between February 17 and February 20, the Central and Main Street Libraries will be hosting some fun and educational events for people of all ages. All bird aficionados ages 18 and up are welcome to meet at the Central Library on Friday, February 17 at 2:00 pm to see birding expert Victor Leipzig, Ph.D., from the Orange County Audubon Society’s “Sea & Sage” chapter. Dr. Leipzig will present “Birding 101” in the downstairs C and D room of the Library. Registration for this in-person event is required – click here to save your spot.
