What’s more romantic than saying your “I do’s” on the sand with a sunset as your backdrop?  Weddings on the sand at Huntington Beach are permissible, but you do need to go through the proper channels to do it right.

The City has a beach wedding webpage with lots of good information when you are in the planning stages of your wedding.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Beach weddings are only permitted on the City beach between Beach Boulevard and Seapoint Street.
  • There is an initial non-refundable application fee of $110 due at the time of your application to reserve the date and location.  Additional fees of up to $500 may apply depending on the set-up and number of guests.
  • NO cones, ropes, or fences are allowed.  No alcohol or amplified sound is permitted either.
  • Weddings are ONLY permitted from September 15 to June 15 and the beach closes each night at 10:00 p.m.

Make sure you fill out the wedding application and contact the city’s permit office at 714-536-5494 to secure a permit for your day of celebration.
