When a disaster hits or an emergency occurs in our community, are you prepared? Take the first step by ensuring you and your family are signed up for AlertOC to be notified of emergencies or public safety incidents within your area.

AlertOC is a mass notification system used by the County of Orange to issue government related messages to residents and businesses of all 34 cities within the county, including Huntington Beach.  The system has the capacity to send messages to those impacted within minutes via phone, email and text.

The AlertOC system supplements but does not replace the traditional “emergency broadcast systems” you may hear on the radio or TV.  Also, you do not need an Orange County area code to get your notification.  Any phone number in the United States will work within the system.

Whether it’s an earthquake, a tsunami, a wildfire or a man-made disaster, AlertOC will keep you updated and provide you time-sensitive information to help you and your family stay safe.  Just go to www.alertoc.com to sign up for a free account.
