Goodwill will be on-site to collect new and gently used items, as well as e-waste. Limited space is available for collection of items. Once space is filled, waste may not be accepted. “While we are fortunate to live in a picturesque location, we have an obligation to keep it that way. Providing ways to support our community while enhancing the cleanliness and beautification is of the utmost importance,” said Mayor Barbara Delgleize. “I would be remiss if I didn’t thank our partners at Republic Services, Goodwill of Orange County, and especially Caltrans who not only supported Huntington Beach with this event, but also recently provided $5 million in grant funding for our Oak View Community.”

The City of Huntington Beach recently accepted $5 million dollars from Caltrans as part of the Clean California initiative for safety improvements and beautification enhancements to the Oak View Community. The grant funds will be used to complete numerous improvements within the neighborhood over the next year. Improvements within Oak View will include traffic and street signage, enhanced lighting and landscaping, ongoing litter and graffiti abatement, and more. is a nearly $1.1 billion, multi-year clean-up effort led by Caltrans to remove litter, create jobs, and beautify state and public areas, with a focus on historically underserved or excluded communities.
