June 4, 2022 Black surfers will head to Huntington Beach, CA, aka Surf City, for A GREAT DAY IN THE STOKE (AGDITS), a Black surf experience. This inaugural event will provide a safe space for Black surfers to compete, connect, and will recognize pioneers in the Black surf community. AGDITS is sponsored by Patagonia, Black Girl Sunscreen, The City of Huntington Beach, and Kavata Swimwear.
This free, family friendly event will include something for everyone. Along with the main attraction surf competition, other activations will include free surf lessons, free beach yoga hosted by WalkGoodLA, a surfboard demo by Earth Technologies, sounds from DJ Marty McFlyy, and an awards/tribute presentation to Black surf pioneers, Tony Corley, founder of the Black Surfing Association, and Sharon Schaffer, the first professional Black women surfer.

If you are signing up for the surf competition or surf lessons you will receive additional information after registration. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to start time. $20 entry fee for surf competition.
