Dr. Raymond Neutra, son of HBPL’s architect Richard, to speak at Central Library

Come enjoy an afternoon of architecture, history and family on Friday, August 26 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm when Dr. Raymond Neutra, son of Richard and brother of Dion, will present an illustrated lecture based on his book Cheap and Thin: Neutra and Frank Lloyd Wright. Dr. Neutra will demonstrate how Wright’s “ten points” were adopted and then adapted by both father Richard and son Dion to produce the nature-infused esthetic of the Huntington Beach Public Library building.  Justin Neutra, Dr. Neutra’s son, will also show excerpts from a video interview with his uncle Dion from 2000. Following the presentation, to take place in the C&D Room of the Huntington Beach Central Library, Dr. Neutra will be happy to sign copies of his book, which can be purchased on Amazon.  Space is limited, so early registration is required by clicking here https://hbpl.libcal.com/event/9320699.
