Uncover family histories with the “FAN Club’s” Cluster Genealogical Research

In honor of February’s Black History Month, the Orange County California Genealogical Society is proud to welcome lawyer and researcher of African-American family history LaBrenda Garrett-Nelson to a virtual Zoom meeting on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:15 pm.   After a brief welcome and announcements by OCCGS president Kristi Sexton, LaBrenda will guide us through two informative sessions – the first will discuss how to use cluster research from family, associates and neighbors (FAN) to identify formerly enslaved ancestors, followed by “Incorporating DNA Evidence into a Proof Argument” at 11:15 am.  To register for this ZOOM meeting, click here OCCGS-02-04-Garrett-Nelson, and to learn more about February’s speaker and topics, follow this link https://bit.ly/Feb23Speaker .   After registering, you will receive a conformation e-mail with information about joining the meeting.  For more information about the Society, visit www.occgs.com.
