Uncover family histories with the “FAN Club’s” Cluster Genealogical Research
In honor of February’s Black History Month, the Orange County California Genealogical Society is proud to welcome lawyer and researcher of African-American family history LaBrenda Garrett-Nelson to a virtual Zoom meeting on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:15 pm. After a brief welcome and announcements by OCCGS president Kristi Sexton, LaBrenda will guide us through two informative sessions – the first will discuss how to use cluster research from family, associates and neighbors (FAN) to identify formerly enslaved ancestors, followed by “Incorporating DNA Evidence into a Proof Argument” at 11:15 am.
