Huntington Beach Memorial Day Ceremony May 29, 2023

Huntington Beach Veterans are gearing up to honor their fallen comrades on Monday, May 29 at 11am at Pier Plaza for a special Memorial Day ceremony, sponsored by the City and American Legion Post 133.

Join Mayor Tony Strickland and other elected officials for a rifle salute and music by the Huntington Beach High School Band – and a possible flyover by the Huntington Beach Police Department helicopter.

Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings, and participating in parades. It’s the three-day weekend that kicks off the summer season and the time for hanging out at the beach, and barbecuing with friends and family. But Memorial Day is also the most solemn American holiday — a day to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending their nation.
