On August 31, 2023, from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, the City’s Homeless and Behavioral Health Services, in conjunction with National Alliance on Mental Illness – Orange County (NAMI-OC), will  host a free “In Our Own Voice” community event at the Huntington Beach Senior Center. During this one-hour presentation, two community members will share their own personal experiences of living with mental illness. The goal of programs like this is to raise awareness to and destigmatize mental health issues, while helping our community understand the impact of mental illness on individuals.
