HB Jubilee 2024 Celebration Features “Dining in Central Park”

In Huntington Central Park West, there is a quaint restaurant that offers wholesome eats and a gorgeous view. Nestled along the edge of Lake Huntington, Kathy May’s Lakeview Café is a perfect place to enjoy a meal and nature simultaneously. Guests can choose a seat inside the cozy restaurant or sit outside on the expansive patio overlooking the water. Restaurateur Kathy May opened the restaurant in 1999. When Kathy passed away in 2018, her daughter April May took the reins and has been proudly serving the community ever since. Known for their famous peach cobbler, Kathy May’s offers a variety of fresh breakfast and lunch items daily from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Jumping the Goldenwest divide over to Huntington Central Park East, you will find the iconic Park Bench Café. Mike and Christie Bartusick opened the restaurant in 1988 and have transformed the once dine-in building to a top notch, outdoor-seating culinary delight. The couple are always looking to keep the menu fresh and like to try new dishes that meet the diverse needs of their loyal customers. Most recently, Mike began offering his now famous smoked brisket. Many people would say they are known for their cinnamon roll pancakes and cinnamon roll French toast – a must try. The Park Bench serves breakfast and lunch Wednesday –Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
