In December 2021, Public Works installed traffic and bike lane enhancements on Delaware Street, under Phase 1 of a larger project to reimagine the layout, operation and function of local streets.  Phase 1 made improvements along Delaware between Adams Ave. and Atlanta Ave; Phase Two will take place north of Adams Avenue to Main Street. The project consists of:

• New protected bike lanes, providing residents with a safe route downtown.
• Improved traffic calming, encouraging slower traffic speeds and more responsible motorist behavior.
