HB SENIOR CENTER CELEBRATES PRIDE MONTH

During LGBTQ+ Pride Month, we recognize the resilience and determination of the many individuals who are fighting to live freely and authentically.  The Senior Center will feature two LBGTQ+ themed movies in the month of June, helping to celebrate Pride month in HB.

BIG EDEN is a romantic comedy-drama about Henry Heart, a successful gay artist from New York City. Henry returns to his rural hometown in Montana to care for his ailing grandfather. Henry is welcome back by the town of Big Eden, all of whom are aware of his sexuality and are highly receptive and supportive, despite Henry’s reluctance to come out.  Unresolved feelings soon teach Henry a great lesson on trust and the power of community.

BIG EDEN, Tuesday, June 14 at 12pm. Rated PG 13, 120 minutes

HANDSOME DEVIL is an Irish comedy-drama that centers around Ned, an ostracized teenager at an elite, rugby obsessed, all-boys boarding school in Ireland. Ned’s new roommate Conor is the school’s new rugby star player. With a new English teacher challenging students to ‘find their own voices’, the boys’ friendship is tested by the rugby obsessed expectations of others after one is found to be gay.
