The City of Huntington Beach is seeking input from residents, businesses, and community stakeholders to guide its development of a regulatory framework for commercial cannabis businesses, if they are to be permitted.

Along with Measure A: Cannabis Business Tax, which has been placed on the June 7, 2022 ballot, the City Council will soon consider developing draft ordinances regulating a limited number of commercial cannabis businesses in the City.

The City of Huntington Beach is asking residents to attend the Cannabis Community Forum on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 5pm at the Civic Center, 2000 Main Street, Lower Level B-7/B-8 Rooms or via Zoom (To attend this meeting via Zoom webinar, please register in advance HERE and you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining).

This interactive forum is open to the public.  You will hear from members of the City Council’s subcommittee and staff of key regulatory features of the draft ordinances. You will also have opportunities to ask questions and provide comments as efforts continue to prepare measures that optimally protect and benefit Huntington Beach residents and businesses.

You are encouraged to share your thoughts and suggestions about the DRAFT ordinances. Written comments and feedback can be emailed to [email protected] through 5:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2022.
