Come to the Huntington Beach Central Library and experience this unique event – the HB Community Café!
The HB Community Café is based on The World Café, a method which makes use of an informal setting for participants to explore an issue by discussing it in small table groups. Discussion is held in multiple rounds of 20-30 minutes, with the café ambiance intended to allow for more relaxed and open conversations. Tasty food is provided.
You will have the opportunity to meet your neigHBors, listen to their experiences, and share your own. The first session begins in October with a more general topic: “Let’s Talk About Community.” Eventually, topics may build slowly to more challenging subjects in future months. The Café events in this year’s inaugural series will take place at 5:30 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month, except for December, and go through May 2023. People may choose to attend one Café or the entire series.
