Every ten years, counties throughout California are required to re-examine their district boundaries and adjust to ensure voters are equally represented.  For the past decade, Huntington Beach has been included in District Two, most recently represented by Supervisor Katrina Foley. In addition to Huntington Beach, District Two included Costa Mesa, Cypress, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Stanton, and portions of Buena Park and Fountain Valley.

After a public redistricting process, the Orange County Board of Supervisors officially approved and adopted a map that puts Huntington Beach in District One, currently represented by Supervisor Andrew Do.  In addition to Huntington Beach, District One includes Cypress, Fountain Valley, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Westminster and parts of Garden Grove.

The new County boundaries will be in effect for the June 7, 2022 election. The District One seat is not up for election until 2024. Information, including contact details, for Supervisor Do can be found on the County of Orange website
