New Electronic Permits Make Construction Projects Easier

The Huntington Beach Community Development Department just made life a little easier for those needing a permit and accessing permit records.  The easy-to-access, electronic record system, also known as Accela Citizen Access (ACA), helps homeowners, contractors, and developers organize their construction project in one place.

ACA conveniently stores plans, documents, and inspection history, with up-to-the-minute results of inspections and plan reviews viewable online.  This upgrade is an new feature now available on the ACA permit processing portal which was first released in March of 2021.  The new electronic inspection card replaces the previous paper copy version which was often lost, damaged, or destroyed by construction and weather elements.

With this new electronic job card, customers can quickly and efficiently view the results of their inspection from any desktop or mobile device.  The electronic inspection card is important to business owners, contractors, and homeowners as it provides proof of completion of approved work that is useful if you are selling a home, leasing a space, or need to show evidence of work completed to code requirements.  Permit holders can access their inspection record online via the Accela Citizen Access (ACA) portal.
