Ashley Wysocki Loves HB’s Outdoor Vibe

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we acknowledge the women that are movers and shakers in Surf City.  As the Deputy Director of Community and Library Services, Ashley Wysocki is constantly and sometimes literally moving and shaking as she goes about her job providing programs and services to the active residents of Huntington Beach.

Under the slogan, “Parks Make Life Better,” Ashley is in charge of dozens of programs ranging from traditional sports like basketball, football, baseball and soccer to the non-traditional, but Surf City favorites like surfing, swimming, gymnastics, martial arts and dance.

“HB’s recreation and library professionals are in the business of making memories for the families in our community,” said Wysocki.  “Some of my fondest memories growing up were taking part in my city’s parks and rec programs and my goal is to make sure that every boy and girl that takes part in our HB programs, camps and classes have that same opportunities to make memories that will last a lifetime.”

Ashley doesn’t slow down during her time away from work.  She enjoys playing beach and indoor volleyball, snowboarding, going to concerts, going to the river and travelling.  She recently completed her first half marathon at the HB Half and is excited to train for future races.  She’s also looking forward to getting married at the end of the year and starting a family.
