The Huntington Beach Council on Aging along with the Senior Center in Central Park team hosted the first ever Grandparent’s Day event at the Senior Center in Central Park.
On Saturday, August 5, over 200 guests attended this intergenerational event and participated in fun activities such as line dancing, bingo, face painting, storytelling, and more! The event was from 10:00am-1:00pm and offered snacks, refreshments, and giveaways. A team of City staff, Huntington Beach Council on Aging members, Senior Center volunteers, and sponsors came together to make this event possible. A huge thank you goes out to the Huntington Beach Council on Aging (HBCOA), Staples, Legacy Partners, Memorial Care, Smart & Final, and many more.
The pilot event was a huge success and the City looks forward to repeating this activity in the years to come.
