This Fourth of July weekend, Huntington Beach is proud to host the first annual Cornhole Tournament of Champions!  Teams of two can sign up for the July 1st tournament or the July 2nd tournament… or both!  The cost is $210 per two-person team per tournament and the prize money goes from $500 for fourth place to $5,000 for first place.

Cornhole is a backyard game that has grown in popularity over the years where competitors toss beanbags 27 feet toward an angled wooden board two feet wide by four feet long with the goal of dropping the beanbag into a hole six inches in diameter at the far end of the board.

All ages are welcome to participate to catch beach breezes, patriotic themes, and enjoy some fun and excitement for the whole family.  Each day up to 64 teams will compete in a blind-draw, double-elimination tournament.  Advanced registration for this competitive and fun event is highly encouraged and you can find out more about how to participate by clicking here.

Check-in time on both days will be on the beach near the pier at noon with the tournament of champions occurring at 2:00 p.m. and the awards ceremony on both days at 7:30 p.m.  The tournament provides 16 sets of customized professional game boards, but you are encouraged to bring your own bags if you like.
