The month of July is Parks Make Life Better Month, which is a statewide celebration that enables the Community & Library Services Department to showcase and promote the value and benefits of parks and recreation throughout the community. In Huntington Beach, the Community & Library Services Department is more than just a parks and recreation operation; they provide a variety of services, including recreation programs, services for older adults, library and cultural programs, a beachfront RV campground, events of all scopes and sizes, and much more. Parks and recreation makes lives and communities better, now and in the future, by providing:
- Access to the serenity and inspiration of nature
- Outdoor space to play and exercise
- Facilities for self-directed and organized recreation
- Positive alternatives for youth
- Activities and facilities that facilitate
- Social connections
- Human development
- The arts
- Lifelong learning
Huntington Beach is proud to participate in this annual celebration of our parks and recreation programming. We encourage residents and visitors alike to explore all that Community & Library Services has to offer.
