Huntington Beach Fire Receives New Sparky

The Fire Department purchased a new costume for Sparky, the department mascot. Funding for the costume was part of a home fire safety education grant from The Hartford Fire Insurance Company. Sparky provides tremendous assistance with HBFD Community Risk Reduction and public education efforts.

Huntington Beach Police Welcome Three New Employees

The HBPD is thrilled to introduce the newest members of the family!

With their families in attendance, we welcomed Communications Operator Jona’e Urabe and Principal Management Analyst Perla Zuniga. As they embark on their journey serving the HB community, we send them our best wishes for a fulfilling and successful tenure filled with pride, respect, professionalism, and integrity.

HBFD HEARTSafeHB Ambassadors Teach Area Youth

On Saturday, January 20, the Huntington Beach Fire Department, along with the HEARTSafeHB Program Ambassadors, were invited to teach as part of the Teen Services Department at Huntington Beach Public Library Life Skills Classes. Attendees learned Hands-Only CPR and AED use, Narcan Administration, as well as Stop the Bleed and First Aid. There were 25 community youth members in attendance.

Street Paving Scheduled for January 30
