This week, public safety personnel from all over Southern California came together to show their support for Elizabeth (Lizzie) Lovat as she moves into her next stage of recovery.

On Monday, July 3, Lizzie was performing her duties as a Huntington Beach Junior Lifeguard Instructor when she suffered a spinal injury during ocean training exercises. Since then, she has been making great strides and is ready to take on the next phase of her recovery at a world-renowned rehabilitation center.

Lizzie’s spirits are high, and she is truly touched by the outpouring of love shown by her HB community. The countless, ongoing messages of support and words of encouragement have meant so much to her. Thank you to all who continue to send your thoughts, prayers, and love to Lizzie and her family. To continue to support Lizzie and her family, monetary donations can be made through the HB Fire Outreach Foundation: www.hbfof.org/donate
