This holiday season the Murdy Community Center transformed into a festive haven for families during the Breakfast with Santa event. Serving over 500 community members, participants were able to enjoy all indoor and outdoor festivities.
Indoors, the air was filled with the enticing aroma of pancakes, sausages, and freshly brewed coffee, creating the perfect setting for a cozy breakfast. Children eagerly lined up for the highlight of the morning – photos with Santa. Meanwhile, the festivities continued with letters to Santa as well as creative ornament and stocking decorating, which allowed families to add a personal touch to their holiday decor.
Outdoors, a winter wonderland awaited with our first vendor fair, complete with snow floating in the air. Local sponsors provided giveaways, holiday carnival games, and holiday delights were showcased in booths. Support from our Fire Department, Marine Safety, and Public Works Departments added a OneHB touch to the event, providing the community with a chance to sit on a jet ski, tour a fire truck, or learn about water conservation. As the morning unfolded, it was evident that the Breakfast with Santa event was more than just a meal – it was a celebration of community, joy, and togetherness.
