The City of Huntington Beach has continued to work diligently with Ascon and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) on the remediation for the landfill site, located at 21641 Magnolia Street in Huntington Beach. In an effort to resume remediation activities, the DTSC is inviting the HB community to an informational open house being held on Wednesday, May 31 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Senior Center in Central Park (18041 Goldenwest Street).
The in-person community open house is intended to provide an update on the upcoming pilot field testing to be conducted at the Ascon landfill site. Representatives from the DTSC will be sharing information on the project and will be available to answer questions.
If those interested in attending are unable to make it in-person, a virtual meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 31 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The virtual meeting is available via Zoom link or phone by calling 1-669-444-9171 and entering 895 1072 6948. The virtual presentation will be recorded and available for viewing approximately one week after the event through the DTSC YouTube Channel.
